Meet Your Mentor, Varun Sharma

20+ years of experience in theatre as a producer, director, writer, and actor

Varun Sharma is a seasoned theatre director and acting mentor with 20+ years of experience in theatre.

He is a postgraduate in Acting from Jamia Millia Islamia University and has worked extensively as a director, actor, and writer.

Over the years, Varun has directed and mentored hundreds of students, helping beginners understand acting from the ground up through structured theatre training, rehearsals, and stage work.

His work has been recognized with multiple Best Director awards at reputed theatre festivals such as Mahavidyalaya Natya Samaroh, Panchanan Pathak Hasya Natya Samaroh and Noida Rang Mahotsav, and his productions have been performed under platforms supported by National School of Drama and Sahitya Kala Parishad, Government of Delhi.

In this workshop, Varun brings his real theatre experience into the room — guiding participants through how actors actually train, rehearse, and step onto the stage.

Not at all. Many participants attend to explore acting, understand theatre training, or experience something new — not necessarily to pursue acting as a career.

Will I receive a certificate for this workshop?

Yes. All participants who attend the full workshop will receive a certificate of participation. The certificate acknowledges your involvement in the live acting workshop and your first experience of structured theatre training.

What happens after the workshop?

After the workshop, you’ll have a clear understanding of what acting training involves and what your next step could be. You'll have a feedback-session with a director.
